Compile, process, and maintain patient’s health information in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the practice in a timely manner. The Electronic Medical Records Technician responsibilities are in accordance with the Health Information Management procedures as it pertains to the Chart Prep team.
EMRT Chart Prep Team:
- Prepare electronic charts for appointments.
- Promote a culture of caring through interactions with internal and external customers
- Sort and prioritize incoming information (faxes, emails, mail, and phone calls)
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and practice regulations.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Education and/orExperience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- One to two years of medical experience is preferred.
