Role Description

The Home Health PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) - North Dallas supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering home-based rehabilitative services to patients across the Dallas, TX area. This full-time hybrid role involves traveling to patient homes to implement treatment plans, assist with therapeutic exercises and functional training, and monitor patient progress, while completing documentation and some administrative tasks from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include following established care plans, communicating with supervising Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary team members, educating patients and caregivers on exercises and safety, and ensuring adherence to agency policies and regulatory standards.

The PTA will help promote patient independence, support safe mobility, and contribute to positive clinical outcomes within a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Health Promotion principles to support safe home environments and preventive care practices.
  • Foundational understanding of Medicine and rehabilitative care to implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Active PTA license in the state of Texas and graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Prior home health or outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the North Dallas area, manage a flexible schedule, and work independently in home settings.
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation, EMR use, and adherence to CMS and agency compliance standards.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality.
