Medicaid Specialist - Full Time
Allied Caregivers is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Medicaid Specialist to manage Medicaid, medical billing, EVV, compliance, and administrative functions within our caregiving agency.
The ideal candidate has experience with medical billing and claims, EVV systems, healthcare documentation, and confidential information. This position involves managing time-sensitive tasks, reviewing records for accuracy, and working independently to address issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day Medicaid administrative processes and requirements
- Perform medical billing and claims processing, including reviewing rejected claims, discrepancies, missing information, and documentation issues
- Monitor Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and address missed punches, exceptions, and shift discrepancies
- Coordinate verified hours and documentation with payroll
- Maintain accurate Medicaid, client, caregiver, and billing records
- Monitor licensing, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including renewals and required documentation
- Assist with internal and external audits by gathering records, reviewing documentation, and responding to requests
- Identify and address compliance or administrative issues
- Maintain confidentiality of client, caregiver, payroll, and agency information
- Experience with medical billing and claims processing is required
- Experience with Medicaid billing and healthcare claims
- Experience with EVV systems and shift verification
- Experience in home care, healthcare administration, medical billing, Medicaid, or a related field
- Familiarity with audits, licensing, regulatory compliance, and healthcare documentation
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable using computers and administrative systems
- Ability to review information, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues independently
- Clear communication and consistent follow-through
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
This position is suited for someone who is comfortable managing responsibilities from start to finish, reviewing information carefully, identifying what needs attention, and following through with minimal supervision.
Because this role involves billing, payroll, compliance, and confidential information, accuracy, reliability, and discretion are important.
