Position: Specialty Clinic Scheduler – FT Days

This is a Fulltime Position working about 36 hours a week.

Under the general supervision of Director of Clinical Operations, the Specialty Clinic Scheduler is responsible for all activities surrounding appointments for specialty clinic patients and assisting with chart review/auditing, VA authorizations, faxes and scanning.

Essential Functions
  • Has initial contact with the patient and is responsible for providing comprehensive, coordinated and seamless service to the patients.
  • Returns phone messages to patients within 24 hours.
  • Send patient questionnaires to patients for appointments.
  • Schedules appointments for specialty clinic, and respiratory care
  • Validates the status of insurance and assists with VA referrals/authorizations.
  • Obtains prior authorizations for appointments and procedures as required.
  • Make appropriate referrals to assist the uninsured population.
  • Collaborate with providers and specialty staff for schedule needs.
  • Coordinates and communicates specialty clinic schedules/records to home offices.
  • Maintains overall understanding of specialty clinic functions and escorts patients and public to the proper destination.
  • Conducts themselves to provide the best patient experience possible.
  • Scanning/uploading/faxing of medical records
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Preferred CNA
  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • Mandatory Report Training
  • Insurance Knowledge is preferred
  • Healthcare Background preferred
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills required.
  • Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.

This is a Full-time position and is eligible for benefits for medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, retirement plan with company match of up to 6%, accrued hours for vacation and sick time, paid holidays, and company benefits for employee life, employee AD&D, short term and long-term disability.
