Job Description:

Perform 100% prescription entry (data entry) roles, including collecting and inputting prescription information following pharmacy protocols and legal requirements. Assist with insurance verification activities by contacting insurance companies and resolving related issues. Handle cash register operations, process payments, and manage financial transactions such as insurance claims and copayments. Manage inventory of over-the-counter medications, health products, and related items on the pharmacy front end.

Provide patient education and counseling on over-the-counter medications, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and proper usage. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, laws, and guidelines, including patient confidentiality and prescription labeling requirements. Prioritize tasks, manage customer queues, and communicate effectively with pharmacy staff to support efficient service.

Onsite work required at: 7034 Alamo Downs Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78238. Potential transition to remote work after 4-6 weeks based on performance. Training scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Permanent hours:
Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm;
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Regulatory compliance, insurance verification, and patient confidentiality are mandatory. Must work onsite for interviews and initial training, with subsequent remote work possible.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Verifiable High School diploma or GED.
