Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC/CDMS)

Rehabilitation and Evaluation Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) to join our growing team. If you are passionate about helping injured workers heal, recover, and successfully return to work, we would love to hear from you.
In this role you will collaborate with employers, healthcare providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to support successful return-to-work outcomes for Washington State workers who have sustained occupational injuries or illnesses. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, with approximately 25% travel throughout Washington State for in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate meaningful engagement with injured workers, employers, medical providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to support collaboration and facilitate successful return-to-work outcomes.
- Assist with return-to-work planning and job accommodation recommendations.
- Develop job analyses, labor market research and surveys, and vocational training plans.
- Monitor worker participation and progress in recommended treatments and retraining plans.
- Educate parties regarding the workers' compensation process in all phases of vocational services.
- Support job search activities, resume development, and placement assistance.
- Prepare clear, professional reports, correspondence, and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to professional and ethical standards.
Required
- Bachelor's degree, required
- .CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) or CDMS (Certified Disability Management Specialist) credential, required
- .Minimum 2 years of Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling experience working with Washington State Labor & Industries (L&I) claims or Self-Insured Claims
- .Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- .Strong Microsoft Word and computer proficiency
- .Ability to obtain an L&I provider number, which includes the ability to pass a required background check, and periodic background checks
- .Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- .Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance
- dMaster's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related fiel
