This position is located in Lafayette, IN but offers a hybrid opportunity after fully trained.
The Refill Pharmacy Technician Supervisor provides day‑to‑day operational leadership and frontline oversight for the centralized Refill team, supporting IU Health providers and clinics statewide to ensure timely patient access to medications. Reporting to the Refill Pharmacy Manager, the Supervisor coordinates daily workflows, monitors performance expectations, and ensures regulatory compliance. Key duties include, but may not be limited to:
- Scheduling
- Workload distribution
- Training and onboarding support
- Performance feedback assistance
- Serving as an escalation point for workflow issues
The role collaborates closely with peers, clinicians, nurses and pharmacists to drive workflow improvements, standardize processes and performance metrics, and maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and service quality, while also fostering team engagement and contributing to the ongoing growth of the Centralized Refill program.

- Requires previous supervisory/leadership experience.
- Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
- Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
- Requires Pharmacy Technician experience; IV admixture experience preferred.
- Requires knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices.
- Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires strong customer service skills.
- Requires full proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications. High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License.
- Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification. BLS
