This crucial role is focused on providing high-quality behavioral health consultation within our Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) program, delivering innovative and evidence-based interventions to veterans and their families. This full-time position is primarily remote, with occasional meetings and consultations taking place within our Tampa outpatient office. Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake procedures to identify patient needs and formulate effective treatment plans.
- Provide brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and clinical best practices.
- Collaborate with primary care providers to integrate mental health services and promote patient-centered care within the PCMHI framework.
- Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to guide clinical decision-making and identify appropriate therapeutic techniques.
- Engage in continuous evaluation and follow-up with clients to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
- Document all patient care and services using electronic health record systems to ensure accurate and timely tracking of clinical data.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and strategies for effective patient care and treatment outcomes.
As an LMHC at Relationship Behavioral Health Services, you will focus primarily on veterans and their families, addressing a diverse range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Your compassionate approach and expertise in assessing and treating psychiatric conditions will help provide the necessary support for this unique population, ensuring they receive the appropriate care within the context of their overall health.
Qualifications- A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
- Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements relevant to clinical settings.
- At least one year of experience in counseling psychiatric patients and/or working with individuals facing substance use challenges.
- Expertise in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy interventions.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including the use of electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
- Experience with integrated care models and collaborative care settings.
