Lead Psychologist – Expedited Reports

Expedited Reports is seeking an experienced school psychologist or clinical psychologist to join our growing team as a Lead Psychologist. This is a remote, contract position with an anticipated workload of approximately 30–40 hours per week.

The Lead Psychologist will assist with the writing, interpretation, editing, and quality review of psycho educational, psychological, and related school-based evaluation reports for school districts across the country. We are looking for an experienced clinician with exceptional attention to detail, strong assessment interpretation skills, excellent professional writing abilities, and a broad knowledge of psychological and educational assessment.

This position is ideal for a psychologist who enjoys the technical and analytical aspects of assessment and report writing, values autonomy and flexibility, and wants to use their expertise to make a meaningful impact without the constraints of a traditional school-based role.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Psychologist will:

  • Edit and review psycho educational and psychological evaluation reports using assessment data, evaluator notes, records, and other information provided by school district clinicians.
  • Accurately interpret psychological and educational assessment results, including patterns of strengths and weaknesses, and translate findings into clear narratives.
  • Apply school-based eligibility criteria and understand the data necessary to support or rule out eligibility considerations, including Emotional Disturbance (ED) and Autism (AU).
  • Identify inconsistencies, errors, missing information, and discrepancies within evaluation data and reports before reports are returned to district clinicians.
  • Work with a wide variety of district-specific report templates, formatting requirements, and writing preferences.
  • Assist with developing, revising, and improving psycho educational report templates to increase clarity and efficiency.
  • Review reports completed by other team members and provide thoughtful, clinically informed feedback.
  • Follow detailed written instructions and quality-control procedures while maintaining consistency across reports.
  • Occasionally utilize approved AI-assisted tools, including BastionGPT, as part of established report-writing workflows.
Assessment Experience

Candidates must have strong experience with the scoring and interpretation of commonly used psycho educational and psychological assessments. We are specifically seeking someone who can meaningfully interpret results rather than simply entering scores or transferring information into a report template.

Candidates should have broad experience interpreting cognitive, academic, speech, autism, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, and executive functioning assessments
, including measures such as the KABC, WISC, WPPSI, WIAT, KTEA, Woodcock-Johnson, BSRA, CTOPP, GORT, CARS, ASRS, SSIS-SEL, BASC, Conners, Brown, BRIEF, and D-.

Experience interpreting comprehensive evaluations for SLD, dyslexia, autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, emotional/behavioral concerns, and developmental delays is required.

Additional Qualifications
  • Licensed or credentialed School Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or similarly qualified psychologist with substantial school-based assessment experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting and/or interpreting psycho educational or psychological evaluations
  • Strong psychological and psycho educational interpretation skills, including experience with interpretation frameworks and methodologies such as C-SEP, X-BASS, and PSW.
  • Strong understanding of school-based eligibility criteria, particularly for Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Specific Learning Disability (SLD)
  • Ability to synthesize multiple sources of data and interpret patterns across comprehensive assessment batteries
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, missing information, and potential errors within assessment data and written reports
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Experience developing, revising,…
