Job Summary:

A CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement), ICILA (Intermittent CILA), and Home-Based Services Supervisor manages residential and community support programs for adults with developmental disabilities . Key duties include staff supervision, client care coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for VC Community Support Services Supervisor

? Ensure agency’s goals and objectives are maintained.

? Assist the VC IL Administrator in development and implementation of agency policies; assist in revision of VC IL program budgets and plans.

? Coordinate special projects as requested by the VC IL Administrator.

? Maintain administrative files of the VC CILA, ICILA & HBS programs.

? Attend Advisory Council meetings as requested.

? Share information on agency philosophy, procedures, and policies to help interested citizens, vendors and community groups/organizations to understand the functions of the agency.

? Actively participate in risk management functions within the agency in conjunction with the VC Human Resources and Payroll & Benefits Departments - including, but not limited to, the timely completion and submission of required documentation of staff/client injuries, FMLA documentation and various personnel corrections/requests.

? Maintain databases on CILA, ICILA & HBS programs, participants and staff to provide accurate reports as required by various funding agencies.

? Develop where necessary and assume overall responsibility for coordinating fiscal reporting systems and submit routine and special reports as deemed appropriate by the VC Fiscal Services Department.

? Assume overall responsibility for coordinating the statistical reporting systems as deemed appropriate by the Administrative Office.

? Train, Schedule and supervise CILA, ICILA & HBS staff.

? Provide coaching, performance evaluations and maintain adequate shift coverage.

? Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP’s) promote personal independence, and monitor community integration for CILA, ICILA and Home-based participants.

? Maintain facility safety and cleanliness, manage household budgets and client funds, and ensure adherence to state and federal developmental disability program regulations.

? Act as the primary liaison between residents, families, guardians, and external social service agencies, participating in treatment team meetings.

Qualifications and

Experience:

? Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.

? Knowledge of telephone protocol.

? Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.

? Excellent interpersonal skills.

? Strong organizational skills.

? Familiarity with Illinois state mental health, developmental disabilities, aging, youth, and legislative agencies are highly desirable.

? Valid driver’s license & clean background check.

? Must be able to obtain CPR/ First Aid Certification.

? QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) status may be required depending on program funding.

? Minimum of 1 to 2 years of direct care or supervisory experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Education:

? Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in business related field, or 5 years of experience in an administrative or related capacity.
