As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments to ascertain each client's mental health needs, utilizing structured interviews and standardized assessment tools to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, employing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered approaches that align with clients' therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques to suit the diverse backgrounds and circumstances of clients.
• Offer immediate support and crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health crises, ensuring timely access to necessary resources and support.
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential client records, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements to protect client privacy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care and consistent treatment outcomes.
• Provide education to clients and families on mental health disorders, treatment options, and available community resources, advocating diligently for clients' rights and needs.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training sessions, workshops, and attendance at conferences to stay abreast of the latest practices in mental health therapy.

You will work with a diverse pool of clients that includes individuals, couples, families, and groups from various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds. This role necessitates an understanding of how cultural factors and life experiences impact mental health, providing an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of those struggling with various mental health issues.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Texas.
• Completion of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities, with experience in crafting effective treatment plans.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health or counseling setting.
