Position Overview

Plan Life Care is seeking a professional, compassionate, and dependable Live-In Caregiver to provide high-quality, individualized support to a client in a private residential setting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, patience, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting the client's comfort, dignity, safety, and independence. This position is well suited for an experienced caregiver who is comfortable working independently while maintaining clear communication with the client's family and Plan Life Care's care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care based on the client's individual needs and established care plan.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and other appropriate daily activities.
  • Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
  • Prepare meals and assist with appropriate meal planning and routines.
  • Provide medication reminders in accordance with the established care plan and applicable requirements.
  • Assist with safe mobility and transfers as appropriate to the caregiver's training and responsibilities.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to the client's care and living environment.
  • Assist with errands, shopping, appointments, and other activities as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for the client.
  • Observe and communicate changes in the client's condition, behavior, mood, or general well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and care notes as required.
  • Follow all applicable Plan Life Care policies, procedures, care instructions, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and respect the client's privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with the client, family members, supervisors, and other members of the care team.
  • Respond appropriately to routine and unexpected care-related situations within the scope of the position.
Qualifications Required
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Ability to provide respectful and patient-centered care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow an individualized care plan.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Willingness to complete required employment and background screening.
  • Ability to meet the physical and practical requirements of the position.
Preferred
  • Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide (HHA), certified nursing assistant (CNA), personal care aide, or in a comparable caregiving role.
  • Experience providing live-in or private-duty care.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience assisting individuals with mobility, personal care, meal preparation, and activities of daily living.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if transportation responsibilities are required.
Live-In Position Expectations

This is a live-in caregiving position. The selected caregiver must be comfortable residing in the client's home during scheduled assignments and maintaining a professional, respectful, and appropriate caregiving environment.

The specific schedule, on-duty and off-duty periods, sleeping arrangements, responsibilities, compensation, and other employment terms will be discussed during the interview and established based on the client's care requirements and applicable employment standards.
