Principal Investigator

Professional Case Management is seeking a Principal Investigator to lead clinical and scientific research within our Healthcare & Medical organization. In this Scientific Research & Development role, you will design and oversee studies focused on complex medical needs, ensuring regulatory and ethical compliance. Responsibilities include protocol development, data analysis, report authorship, and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams. You will mentor researchers, contribute to evidence-based best practices, and support innovation in in-home care for former energy workers and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and strategic leadership for clinical and outcomes research programs focused on complex in-home healthcare populations.
• Design, develop, and implement research protocols, including objectives, methodology, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and analysis plans.
• Oversee regulatory compliance for all research activities, including IRB submissions, informed consent processes, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice and human subject protection standards.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing, case management, and quality teams to integrate research activities into real-world in-home care delivery.
• Guide and mentor cross-functional staff involved in study coordination, data collection, documentation, and protocol adherence.
• Monitor study progress, safety events, data quality, and timelines, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Partner with biostatisticians and data teams to ensure robust data analysis and interpretation of study results.
• Prepare and review scientific documents, including study reports, abstracts, slide decks, and manuscripts for publication or presentation.
• Represent Professional Case Management in professional meetings, conferences, and stakeholder discussions related to research activities.
• Contribute to grant writing, research proposals, and internal business cases that support innovation in home-based healthcare models.
• Manage research budgets, resource allocation, and project plans, identifying and mitigating operational risks.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, and leadership to ensure alignment of research with organizational policies and healthcare regulations.
• Help define and prioritize the organization's research agenda in support of mission, quality improvement, and business objectives.
• Disseminate research findings internally to inform evidence-based practice, staff training, and quality initiatives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, compassion, and scientific excellence within the research and clinical teams.
