Occupational Therapist Job in Cheektowaga, NY

Rehab Associates by Trilogy is hiring for an Occupational Therapist job in Cheektowaga, NY, and we’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and ready to work as part of a real team rather than on an island. If you want meaningful pediatric work without having to do it alone, we’d love to meet you.

School-Based Pediatric Care, Backed by 30 Years in WNY

Rehab Associates of WNY has spent three decades partnering with school districts and agencies across the region, and that experience shows up in how the work is structured. You’ll join an interdisciplinary team delivering individualized, group, and co-treatment sessions in local schools and homes, addressing gross and fine motor delays, sensory processing needs, and visual motor and perceptual skills. Our therapists are known for their expertise in developing IEPs, setting school-based goals, and making service-level recommendations that help students function and participate in the least restrictive setting.

You’ll also have access to a broader community network of professionals and clinics, so when a student’s needs call for outside collaboration, you’re not searching for it alone. Our team stays current on Medicaid and NYSED requirements and has built response-to-intervention programming that districts rely on, which means you’ll be stepping into a program with established credibility rather than starting from scratch.

Licensed therapists here are directly involved in delivering services, completing evaluations, and providing supervision for the students on their caseload, so the quality standards you’re held to are the same ones guiding the work around you.

A Team Culture Built on Showing Up for Each Other

At Trilogy, we believe strong organizations are built by people who show up for one another, communicate openly, act with integrity, continue to grow, and take pride in the difference they make. As part of the OT/PT team here, you’ll have support from experienced clinicians and leadership rather than being handed a caseload and left to figure it out. There’s some travel between school buildings built into the role, but you’ll always have colleagues to consult with on evaluations, goal development, and the day-to-day realities of school-based practice.

Collaboration with teachers, families, and other school professionals is part of the daily rhythm here, and it’s treated as a core part of the job rather than an afterthought. If you’re the kind of therapist who wants relationships and communication to actually matter at work, this is a place where that’s already the expectation. And because the practice also serves home-based and outpatient pediatric students alongside its school-based caseload, you’ll see a fuller picture of each child’s progress across the settings that matter most to their development.

Compensation:

  • $32/hour base salary range

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a NYS license in occupational therapy
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Complete evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Develop goals and monitor student progress
  • Maintain documentation in line with school and program requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers and families
  • Participate in CSE/IEP meetings
  • Consult with educational teams to support student participation and success in the school environment

Skills:

  • Dependable and reliable with a school-based caseload
  • Compassionate approach to pediatric care
  • Collaborative team player who contributes actively to the team
  • Communicates openly with colleagues, families, and school staff
  • Acts with integrity
  • Committed to continuous growth and learning
  • Takes pride in the difference their work makes for students

Benefits:

  • An established, caring, and collaborative OT/PT team
  • School-based caseload with support from experienced clinicians and leadership
  • Opportunities for professional development and continued learning
  • Collaboration with teachers, families, and other school professionals
  • Some travel between school buildings
  • A workplace that values relationships, communication, and quality care

If school-based pediatric work with real support behind you sounds like the right fit, we’d genuinely like to hear from you. You’ll be joining a team with three decades of standing in WNY districts and a culture built around showing up for one another.
