Medical Billing Specialist - Denials

Responsibilities

• Work and resolve front-end errors and payer rejections in the Clearinghouse.
• Collect reimbursements for services rendered by reviewing insurance carriers' reject reports, EOBs and/or correspondence.
• Use established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid and unpaid claims with timely appropriate follow-up action.
• Review and adjust claims as needed and process refund and medical record requests from mail received by the insurance companies.

• High school diploma or medical billing certification from an accredited school.
• 1-2 years of billing and insurance knowledge.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Medical terminology.
• 1-2 years of A/R follow up and denials.
• Knowledge of Excel.
• Basic understanding of medical billing compliance.

Hours:

Monday to Friday;
Flexible Hours. Possible remote work after 6 months in office, weekly office work required if remote.

Full Time:
Benefits Eligible.

Hourly rate: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour.

Scheduled weekly hours: 40
