Beyond Play LLC is a family-owned organization that partners with Illinois Child and Family Connections (CFCs) to provide services within the Illinois Early Intervention system. The company specializes in developmental, speech, occupational, and physical therapy for children from birth to age three. Beyond Play LLC is committed to supporting families through evidence-based, child-centered interventions. Team members collaborate closely with caregivers and other professionals to promote optimal developmental outcomes in a supportive, community-oriented environment.

Role Description

This full-time Occupational Therapist role is a hybrid position based in Joliet, IL, with a mix of in-person visits and some work-from-home flexibility for documentation and planning. The Occupational Therapist will provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers, including assessment, individualized treatment planning, and family coaching in natural environments such as homes and community settings. Daily responsibilities include conducting developmental evaluations, implementing therapy sessions focused on functional skills and sensory integration, and maintaining accurate, timely documentation in accordance with Illinois Early Intervention guidelines.

The role involves collaborating with families, service coordinators, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care, participating in interdisciplinary meetings, and educating caregivers on strategies to support their child’s progress between sessions.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy, Pediatrics, and Rehabilitation, with experience or interest in early intervention for children birth to age three.
  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and child development to support safe, evidence-based clinical decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams and for documenting clinical findings clearly.
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois and completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master’s or Doctorate) are required.
  • Experience working in home-based or community settings, familiarity with Early Intervention service models, and comfort with electronic health records are beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining professional, inclusive, and family-centered practice are essential.
