Position: Cardiac Monitoring Technician (Evening and Overnight Shift)
Job Type:Full Time (40 hours per week)
Location:Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid Schedule) and Remote (If outside of CA)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Cardiac Monitoring Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely monitoring of patients' cardiac activity. Working Day and Evening shifts from our Walnut Creek, CA location on a hybrid schedule, this position is responsible for real-time analysis of ECG transmissions using Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) software. The technician identifies cardiac events, supports timely clinical decision-making, and maintains the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ECG Monitoring & Clinical Analysis
- Monitor, review, and interpret ECG recordings and associated algorithm findings for clinical accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate cardiac rhythms to determine if physician notification criteria are met and document all required actions
- Process critical and serious cardiac findings with a high degree of accuracy and urgency
- Perform technical analysis of cardiac data and ensure accurate event processing
- Escalate abnormal or critical ECG findings in accordance with established physician notification protocols
- Communicate cardiac monitoring status to clinics and physicians via inbound and outbound calls
- Support physicians and clinical teams by answering monitoring and notification-related questions
- Respond to all clinical inquiries promptly and with professional expertise
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain a high standard of quality assurance in all analyzed and processed data
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Complete all required training and remain current in ECG rhythm interpretation and evolving clinical practices
- Meet all productivity and performance standards following completion of initial training
Team & Operational Support
- Collaborate effectively with team members and support a positive, patient-focused work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education —High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
- Experience —Minimum of 1 year of ECG analysis or cardiac monitoring experience required.
- Certification —CCT (Certified Cardiographic Technician) or CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) —
