We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a part-time position providing pediatric occupational therapy services for school-age students and/or Early Intervention (birth–3) clients across home, school, and community settings on Long Island. This flexible part-time role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist seeking to build a caseload based on their availability and preferred service areas.

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine motor and visual-motor deficits, and functional skill needs. This role emphasizes practical, individualized interventions that support participation in daily routines, academic tasks, and age-appropriate activities.

The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families, educators, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent and effective service delivery across environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for EI and school-age students
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services in home-based EI and school-based or community settings
  • Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, and functional participation
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers to support carryover of skills
  • Complete required documentation, including evaluations, session notes, and progress reports
  • Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff as appropriate
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with New York State and AOTA guidelines
  • ** Eligible new hires will receive a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.**
  • Current New York State Occupational Therapist license required
  • Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Pediatric experience preferred; EI and/or school-based experience a plus but not required
  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances
  • Strong communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple settings while collaborating with a team
