• HS Diploma or Equivalent

• EKG/Monitor Tech
• Completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire.

The Monitor Tech observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient’s norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.55 - $28.69 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, located in Elizabeth City, NC, serves northeastern North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers. In 2022, Sentara broke ground on a new campus, a state-of-the-88-bed hospital to replace the current 60-year-old facility on North Road Street. The 135-acre campus, coming out of the ground at Halstead Boulevard Extended and Thunder Road, will be known as the Sentara Albemarle Regional Health Campus. It is projected to cost about $200 million, up from the original estimate of $158 million, due to sharp spikes in costs for building materials and medical equipment.
