We're seeking a BCBA to provide behavioral assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical support for individuals receiving community-based services. The caseload is primarily individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), with some co-occurring mental health needs.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or related field
  • Active Michigan BCBA certification
  • Experience developing and implementing Behavior Support/Treatment Plans
  • Experience working with individuals with IDD and/or mental health needs
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel throughout the Northern Michigan service area
What You'll Do
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Support & Treatment Plans
  • Complete regular site visits to AFC homes, residential settings, and community placements
  • Observe implementation and provide staff coaching and behavioral consultation
  • Train caregivers and direct care staff on behavioral interventions and de-escalation strategies
  • Review data and modify plans based on progress and clinical observations
  • Support individuals with higher-risk behaviors, including aggression, self-injury, elopement, and property destruction
  • Participate in person-centered planning and maintain compliant clinical documentation
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Primarily IDD-focused caseload of approximately 30–40 individuals
  • Flexible scheduling with significant autonomy
  • Combination of field, office, and remote work based on individual scheduling needs
  • Evenings are uncommon—typically only once or twice every few months
  • Agency vehicle available
  • Meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact in the community

This role is ideal for a BCBA who enjoys working independently, values flexibility, and wants to make a meaningful impact supporting individuals with IDD throughout the community.
