Location: Northern Michigan | Traverse City, Cadillac, Houghton Lake & Grayling
Setting: Hybrid - Community-based | Office | Remote
Travel: ~3 days/week in the field | Mileage Reimbursement / Agency Vehicle Available
We're seeking a BCBA to provide behavioral assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical support for individuals receiving community-based services. The caseload is primarily individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), with some co-occurring mental health needs.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or related field
- Active Michigan BCBA certification
- Experience developing and implementing Behavior Support/Treatment Plans
- Experience working with individuals with IDD and/or mental health needs
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout the Northern Michigan service area
- Conduct behavioral assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Support & Treatment Plans
- Complete regular site visits to AFC homes, residential settings, and community placements
- Observe implementation and provide staff coaching and behavioral consultation
- Train caregivers and direct care staff on behavioral interventions and de-escalation strategies
- Review data and modify plans based on progress and clinical observations
- Support individuals with higher-risk behaviors, including aggression, self-injury, elopement, and property destruction
- Participate in person-centered planning and maintain compliant clinical documentation
- Primarily IDD-focused caseload of approximately 30–40 individuals
- Flexible scheduling with significant autonomy
- Combination of field, office, and remote work based on individual scheduling needs
- Evenings are uncommon—typically only once or twice every few months
- Agency vehicle available
