RPSGT Polysomnographic TechnologistJob Responsibilities
- Perform Sleep Studies: Conduct overnight, daytime, and home-based sleep studies in compliance with established protocols. Monitor and record sleep patterns, oxygen levels, and other physiological data using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Administer Therapeutic Interventions: Initiate and manage CPAP, BiPAP, or other therapeutic modalities during studies. Adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Evaluate and Analyze Data: Score and interpret sleep study data according to AASM standards. Prepare detailed reports for physicians and healthcare providers.
- Educate and Support Patients: Provide pre- and post-procedure education to patients and families regarding sleep studies and treatments. Address patient concerns and ensure a comfortable testing environment.
- Education, Licensure & Certifications: Current RPSGT certification required.
- Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a sleep lab or similar setting is preferred. Proficiency with sleep study scoring and data analysis software.
