RPSGT Polysomnographic TechnologistJob Responsibilities
- Perform Sleep Studies:
- Conduct overnight, daytime, and home-based sleep studies in compliance with established protocols.
- Monitor and record sleep patterns, oxygen levels, and other physiological data using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Administer Therapeutic Interventions:
- Initiate and manage CPAP, BiPAP, or other therapeutic modalities during studies.
- Adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Evaluate and Analyze Data:
- Score and interpret sleep study data according to AASM standards.
- Prepare detailed reports for physicians and healthcare providers.
- Educate and Support Patients:
- Provide pre- and post-procedure education to patients and families regarding sleep studies and treatments.
- Address patient concerns and ensure a comfortable testing environment.
- Education, Licensure & Certifications:
- Current RPSGT certification required.
- Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a sleep lab or similar setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with sleep study scoring and data analysis software.
