Cardiac Sonographer

Role

Performs comprehensive non-invasive transthoracic echo cardiographic studies and assists with various echo cardiographic procedures.

• Conducts transthoracic echocardiograms and supports procedures like transesophageal, intraoperative, contrast, and fetal echocardiography.
• Provides data on cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics to aid cardiologists in diagnosing congenital heart defects.
• Operates specialized equipment, assesses patient status, and adapts to age-specific needs.
• Works independently, participates in on-call rotations, and may work at remote clinics.
• Performs additional duties as required.

• Associate’s degree in an allied health field;
  Bachelor’s preferred.
• ARDMS RDCS certification in pediatrics within two years; credential in echocardiography from ARDMS or CCI required.
• Experience in clinical echocardiography and healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office;
  Basic Life Support certification required.

Strong technical, patient assessment, and communication skills, with ability to work independently and in remote settings.
