Position Overview

Silverwood Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time role provides an opportunity to deliver quality mental health services within a telehealth setting. As a remote position, this role offers the flexibility of working from your own space while utilizing cutting-edge telehealth technology to connect with clients. Our telehealth platform is designed to ensure seamless communication and confidentiality, allowing you to provide effective therapeutic interventions from anywhere in California. You will have access to necessary tools and resources to facilitate your work and maintain high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health status through telehealth sessions, utilizing various diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations, incorporating evidence-based strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Engage with clients on a regular basis to provide therapeutic interventions and ongoing support, equipping them with coping strategies to manage their mental health disorders.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for clients to share experiences and learn from one another.
  • Coordinate care by collaborating with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, for integrated patient management.
  • Document all client interactions and treatment progress accurately in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse client base grappling with various challenges such as substance abuse, anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders. You will work with individuals from various backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that respects their unique situations. Your expertise will play a significant role in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys and achieve positive outcomes in their lives.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Experience delivering both individual and group therapy, demonstrating cultural responsiveness in treatment practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven capability in crisis intervention and management, with an ability to advocate for clients in high-stress situations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for building rapport with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other health technology platforms.
  • A demonstrated commitment to maintaining ethical guidelines and professional boundaries in counseling.
Compensation and Benefits

At Silverwood Behavioral Health Center, we offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
