Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to establish individualized therapy strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, groups, and families, ensuring a high level of care and empathy.
- Utilize a diverse set of therapeutic modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to address various mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive client care plans that support overall patient well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, training, and seminars to keep abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health care.
You will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide range of mental health concerns. Many clients may have had limited access to mental health services previously, requiring an empathetic approach to support their journey towards recovery and growth. Your role will be vital in fostering their emotional resilience and equipping them with the tools needed for lasting change.
Qualifications- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
- A minimum of two years of counseling experience, particularly in a clinical setting, is required.
- A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards within the mental health field.
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies.
- Specialization or experience in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
