Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to empower clients in their journey of recovery.
- Conduct regular progress assessments to monitor client development, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
- Work in an integrated manner with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing training, case consultations, and interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance professional skills and service delivery.
- Engage in advocacy efforts aimed at reducing the stigma associated with mental health and promoting accessibility to essential services.
As an LMFT at Corner Street Behavioral Health, you will primarily work with clients facing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele includes diverse groups, such as survivors of domestic violence, veterans, the homeless community, and newly resettled refugees. Your role will involve adapting therapeutic approaches to fit the unique cultural and experiential backgrounds of each client.
Qualifications- A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
