Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time contract speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity focusing on telespeech and teletherapy services is available in Harvey, LA. This role supports speech and language development for school-aged children within the Jefferson Parish school district.
Key Responsibilities Include- Delivering virtual speech therapy sessions using established telepractice methods
- Assessing and monitoring student speech and language progress remotely
- Collaborating with educators and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with district guidelines
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is mandatory
- Experience or willingness to work with teletherapy platforms and deliver services virtually
- Ability to complete district credentialing forms as part of HR requirements
This full-time position offers a 35-hour workweek, with 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The assignment begins August 3, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027. Exact caseload and school assignments will be determined based on district needs.
Candidates should note that any offers extended and accepted are contingent upon contract renewal by the school board, which is scheduled for review on June 3, 2026. This contingency will be clearly outlined in the contractual agreement.
