Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Registered Dietitian position with Vida Health is a part-time, non-exempt seasonal role conducted virtually across the United States. Vida Health assigns the dietitian a client panel and virtual nutrition-care work. The position uses a schedule the dietitian selects within Vida's operating windows.

The registered dietitian role provides virtual nutrition care for clients managing chronic and weight-related health needs. The role requires a Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and an accredited dietetics degree. Vida's clinical practice uses remote communication across the United States. The position sits within a patient-facing clinical team.

  • Location: Remote, United States
  • Employment: Part-Time, Non-Exempt, Seasonal

Candidates submit materials through Vida Health's public job page. The role requires the Registered Dietitian credential, an accredited dietetics education, clinical or community nutrition experience, and the ability to provide virtual care within the stated U.S. eligibility requirements.

Client Panels And Diabetes Education

The registered dietitian role manages a client panel through video, telephone, and electronic messaging. Each interaction combines Diabetes Self-Management Education with Medical Nutrition Therapy. Motivational Interviewing supports behavior change, and care-team collaboration connects nutrition work with other providers.

Clinical work includes patient education, individualized nutrition guidance, and progress communication. Dietitians use the four-step Nutrition Care Process of assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring. Vida's clinical work also requires training maintenance, quality standards, and efficient communication.

Hours Between 8 A.M. And 8 P.M.

Vida sets weekday availability between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturday availability between 8 a.m. and noon in the dietitian's time zone. The position requires a 10-hour weekly commitment.

Vida defines the operating window, and the dietitian selects the individual hours. Remote work covers the United States, so the dietitian works from the time zone used for the selected schedule. The seasonal position is client-facing rather than administrative.

Credentials And Clinical Experience

The minimum academic path includes a bachelor's or advanced degree in dietetics or a related field from an accredited university. The dietitian must hold the Registered Dietitian credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Three years of clinical or community-setting experience.
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist credentials.
  • Obesity and Weight Management Certification.
  • Spanish fluency.
Documentation And Provider Communication

The dietitian documents client work and follows requirements for protected health information and HIPAA. Provider communication uses the Vida provider platform, Slack, Google Suite, and Zoom. Policies, procedures, training requirements, quality measures, and efficiency benchmarks guide the daily workflow.

Vida connects dietitians with physicians, coaches, therapists, and other providers through its virtual care model . In this care model, registered dietitians communicate clinical information across that team while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.

Vida Health's program includes care for obesity and related conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, and depression. The dietitian's work combines nutrition counseling with the wider needs of clients managing chronic health conditions.

The dietitian follows Vida guidelines, scope of practice, HIPAA, protected health information standards, and industry requirements. The company serves employers, national payers, and large providers through its virtual care programs.
