Community Supports Coordinator

• Facilitate outreach, education, training, information and referral services, and prevention activities for Charles County’s Coordinated Community Supports program
• Support coordination and implementation of a comprehensive prevention and mental health promotion initiative within Charles County
• Deliver Teen Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid programs
• Partner with Charles County Schools and community organizations to develop and deliver training, including a program for all 10th-grade students
• Engage schools and community organizations in prevention and awareness efforts
• Connect families and community members with mental health and well-being resources, publications, service information, expert contacts, and training opportunities
• Establish and maintain partnerships with behavioral health, physical health, social services, and other child-serving experts, agencies, and providers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, perform data entry and reporting, and manage records using CRM, financial, survey, and other program platforms
• Support program operations, evaluation, financial tracking, and grant compliance
• Complete administrative tasks and reporting within established timelines

• Obtain certification as both a Teen Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor within the first 90 days, as scheduling allows
• Coordinate instructor certification for other Teen and Youth Mental Health First Aid instructors in Charles County
• Extensive knowledge of and experience within Charles County, including having lived or worked in the county
• Minimum of two years of experience in community outreach or a related field
• Experience engaging diverse populations
• Experience providing training to diverse youth and families in both large and small group settings
• Knowledge of and experience navigating behavioral health systems
• Lived experience as a caregiver navigating behavioral health services is preferred
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships and community partnerships
• Ability to support diverse cultural identities and foster an inclusive, respectful environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, Salesforce, SharePoint, project management tools, and learning management systems is preferred
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
• Access to reliable transportation for travel throughout Charles County and the State of Maryland, and to attend out-of-state conferences and meetings as required
• Access to a designated home office or workspace suitable for confidential business, with secure, high-speed internet

Demonstrates expertise in community outreach, mental health promotion, and training delivery, with a strong focus on building partnerships and engaging diverse populations. Proficient in managing program operations, compliance, and documentation while fostering an inclusive environment.
