You will be equipped with the necessary tools and systems to conduct assessments and therapy sessions efficiently. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' individual needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique cultural and personal backgrounds, ensuring the delivery of effective care.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing diverse mental health concerns, promoting resilience, and supporting overall well-being.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members to develop cohesive treatment strategies that align with each patient's goals.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support in response to mental health emergencies, utilizing strong crisis management skills.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources available in the community to empower them in their healing journeys.
  • Maintain thorough, high-quality documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.
  • Engage in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions focused on cultural competency to continuously enhance service delivery.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid license as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
  • Thorough understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, with a clear commitment to cultural competency in therapy.
  • Demonstrated experience providing culturally responsive individual and group therapy interventions.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
  • A commitment to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and patient confidentiality.
  • Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community health setting, especially in working with underrepresented populations.
