Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a fully remote capacity, serving patients through telehealth services. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in delivering impactful mental health care to a multicultural outpatient population in Alpharetta, Georgia, with a focus on inclusivity and holistic well-being.

This is a fully remote position, harnessing the power of telehealth to reach clients effectively and conveniently. Our collaboration tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems facilitate seamless communication and documentation. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed to accommodate patient care. • Conduct detailed and culturally sensitive mental health assessments for new and existing clients to understand their unique experiences and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are considerate of patients' cultural and personal backgrounds, using techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a variety of mental health concerns while promoting resilience and overall well-being.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients.
• Provide urgent crisis intervention services, supporting clients through mental health emergencies to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Engage in educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, their treatment options, and resources available within the community.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records that comply with all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring proper documentation of treatment plans and patient progress.
• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions, including cultural competency workshops, to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Stay informed about current mental health research, emerging best practices, and relevant cultural considerations in therapeutic modalities.

The Therapist will focus on a deeply diverse patient population, including those from ethnic and cultural minority backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. This role requires a deep commitment to cultural competence, as understanding these patients' unique contexts greatly enhances the effectiveness of treatment strategies and improves patient satisfaction and outcomes.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid mental health license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
• Thorough understanding of various mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment approaches that are culturally responsive.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive practices tailored to patient needs.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities, especially in high-pressure situations, maintaining composure while addressing urgent patient needs.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to maintain patient documentation.
