Travel Medical Assistant – Temporary/Seasonal
Bring preventive healthcare directly to patients where they live while working on a temporary, project-based assignment that keeps you moving. In this W-2 Temporary/Seasonal Travel Medical Assistant role, you’ll complete scheduled in-home visits across Kansas while supporting preventive care, health assessments, and care-gap initiatives.
The OpportunityThis is a temporary/seasonal, project-based position supporting in-home clinical operations throughout Kansas.
You’ll travel to patients’ homes to perform Medical Assistant responsibilities, including obtaining vital signs, completing health screenings, supporting approved point-of-care testing and specimen collection, and documenting visit information accurately.
The assignment is expected to continue through January 2027
. Based on continued business needs, performance, and availability, the assignment may be extended or renewed by mutual agreement.
Employment beyond the project period is not guaranteed.

- Pay: $35.00/hour
- Hours: Variable based on project and patient volume
- Location: Kansas – statewide travel required
- Project Duration: Expected through January 2027
- Travel: Required throughout assigned Kansas markets
- Travel throughout Kansas to complete scheduled in‑home member visits
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs, health screenings, and required patient information
- Support health assessments, care-gap activities, and other assigned clinical programs
- Help create a professional, respectful, patient‑first experience during home visits
- Perform standard Medical Assistant responsibilities within your authorized scope
- Perform approved point‑of‑care testing and specimen collection, as applicable
- Support routine clinical workflows during in‑home visits
- Follow established infection‑control, safety, HIPAA/privacy, and escalation procedures
- Travel regularly throughout assigned Kansas markets
- Accurately and promptly document visit activities in designated systems and applications
- Stay organized across changing routes, patient schedules, and coverage needs
- Maintain assigned equipment and supplies and appropriately safeguard company property and patient information
- Meet applicable scheduling, attendance, travel, productivity, quality, and documentation expectations
- Medical Assistant training, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification as required
- Hands‑on Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Kansas
- Comfortable working independently in patients’ homes
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and patient‑service skills
- Ability to follow established clinical and operational protocols
- Experience with Annual Wellness Visits or preventive health assessments
- Prior home visit, mobile care, field‑based care, or community health experience
- Experience with point‑of‑care testing or specimen collection
- Experience documenting patient visits in an EMR/EHR system
This is a statewide Kansas travel position
. You must be comfortable traveling regularly within assigned markets based on project volume, patient availability, geographic coverage needs, and other business requirements.
Travel requirements and assignments may change throughout the project based on patient and operational needs.
Compensation- $35.00 per hour
