The Patient Service Representative – Scheduling is a key member of the GLMI Scheduling Team, working in a fast-paced call center environment to coordinate patient imaging appointments across multiple locations. Remote work opportunities may be available once performance expectations are met.
Key ResponsibilitiesAnswer inbound calls and schedule imaging exams across multiple GLMI locations
Screen and route calls efficiently to appropriate departments
Make outbound calls to schedule exams for patients and physician offices
Verify insurance and obtain prior authorization information
Communicate preparation instructions and appointment details to patients
Document notes accurately within patient charts
Obtain medical records via phone, fax, or internal systems
Manage voicemail messages and phone queue status throughout shift
Route and organize documents within digital fax system
Utilize medical systems and scheduling platforms effectively
Perform additional duties as assigned; overtime may be available
What We’re Looking ForStrong computer skills including information systems and Google-based programs
Excellent verbal communication skills (phone and in-person)
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience in radiology or medical terminology preferred
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; prior administrative experience preferred.
Physical & Mental RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods
May lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively with patients
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
