Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and detailed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, including diagnostic assessments that inform tailored treatment planning.
- Provide individualized one-on-one counseling sessions to clients coping with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, employing established therapeutic techniques that suit their unique needs.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at fostering support and education among clients facing similar challenges, creating an atmosphere of healing and trust.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans that establish clear goals and therapeutic interventions, ensuring alignment with clients' evolving mental health needs.
- Offer immediate crisis intervention for clients in distress, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating with emergency services when necessary to guarantee their safety and well-being.
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in mental health practices through ongoing professional education and training opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive approach to client care.

Qualifications- A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Active license as a mental health counselor in the state of New York, meeting all local licensing requirements.
