Children Thrive ABA Therapy

One Step Forward is looking for an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician to provide one on one ABA services to children with autism in Newark.

This is a part time opportunity for someone with previous ABA experience who enjoys working directly with children and wants the support of an experienced clinical team while building a consistent schedule.

Pay: $22–$32 per hour based on experience

ABA therapy is built around the small steps that lead to meaningful changes.

During your sessions, you may help a child learn to communicate a need, participate in a daily routine, interact with others, develop greater independence, or replace challenging behaviors with more appropriate skills.

You’ll follow an individualized treatment program developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), while building a consistent relationship with the child you work with.

As an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician, you will:

• Provide one on one in home ABA therapy

• Implement individualized treatment goals developed by a BCBA

• Work on communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skills

• Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs

• Follow behavior intervention plans

• Use evidence based ABA strategies throughout sessions

• Collect accurate data to monitor progress

• Complete electronic session documentation

• Communicate with your supervising BCBA regarding client progress

Current opportunities are primarily during weekday afternoon and early evening hours.

We’re looking for someone who can maintain a consistent weekly schedule with their client. Consistency is important for building rapport and supporting progress toward treatment goals.

Working one on one doesn’t mean working alone.

Our therapists have access to:

• Ongoing supervision and clinical guidance from a BCBA

• Support from our clinical and administrative teams

• Consistent after school opportunities

• Case matching based on location and availability whenever possible

• Opportunities to continue building ABA skills and experience

• $22–$32 per hour based on experience

Previous ABA experience

Relevant backgrounds include:

• ABA Therapist

• Behavior Technician

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

• Paraprofessional

• Special education aide

• Behavioral health professional

Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, professional, comfortable working independently with a child and family, and committed to maintaining their scheduled sessions.

Reliable transportation is required for this in home position.

We are currently hiring for in home cases in Newark.

Whenever possible, we match therapists with cases based on their location and availability to help keep travel reasonable and create schedules that can remain consistent.

The work you do during a few hours in the afternoon can help a child build skills that carry into home, school, and everyday life.
