Role Description The Private Practice Therapist will provide individual psychotherapy to clients using mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with the clinical supervisor and practice owner as needed. The therapist will participate in regular supervision or consultation, contribute to a supportive team culture, and may assist with workshops or community offerings aligned with their expertise.
This is a part-time, hybrid role based in Farmington or West Hartford, CT, with a combination of in-office sessions and some work-from-home telehealth services.
Qualifications
- Active or eligible licensure in Connecticut as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or pre-licensed equivalent under supervision.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in individual psychotherapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Experience or strong interest in trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based interventions, and integrative or holistic approaches.
- Ability to maintain clear, thorough, and compliant clinical documentation within required timelines.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills, with a commitment to ethical and culturally responsive practice.
- Comfort working in a hybrid model, providing both in-person and telehealth services, and using electronic health record systems.
- Previous experience in private practice, community mental health, or clinical training settings is preferred but not required.
- Interest in ongoing professional development, participation in supervision, and engagement with workshops or community programs.
