Pharmacy Technician

Join a dynamic team as a Pharmacy Technician, primarily working with Medicare and Medicaid patients. You will be responsible for handling Prior Authorizations, focusing on both intake and Tech Review tasks. You will start with intake, setting up Prior Authorizations in our systems, and subsequently move to Tech Review, where you will assess coverage, read criteria, insurance documents, and make clinical determinations on medication approvals.

• Handle intake of medpharm prior authorizations and set them up in the system.
• Conduct Tech Reviews by evaluating PA cases to determine coverage.
• Read and assess criteria, SOPs, insurance, and medical documents to determine medication eligibility.
• Make clinical determinations regarding medication approval or denial.
• Provide excellent customer service over the phone, managing and redirecting conversations as needed.

• Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT).
• Experience with managed care and pharmacy operations.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Experience in handling claims and prior authorizations.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Customer service experience, especially over the phone.
• Ability to control conversations and redirect when necessary.

This position is 100% remote, requiring a closed-door setting with minimal distractions to maintain HIPAA compliance. A strong WiFi connection is essential. Training is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM EST. After training, work schedules may vary, including Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, with shifts primarily in the afternoon and evening.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
