Salvo Health is hiring a Bilingual Registered Dietitian for a remote position tied to Raleigh, North Carolina. The role serves patients in the United States through synchronous and asynchronous care, with Spanish-speaking communication part of the position. The work centers on nutrition counseling, movement, stress management, sleep, and behavioral change for people managing chronic gut and metabolic conditions.
The clinician joins Salvo Health's Care Team alongside registered dietitians, licensed nurses, licensed clinical social workers, medical assistants, and gastroenterologists. The Raleigh location accompanies a remote work arrangement, and the role requires residence in the United States. The wider registered dietitian community includes the credentialed professionals who carry out this kind of clinical care.
- Location: Raleigh, NC, remote within the United States
Applicants need the RD or RDN credential and at least two years of RD or RDN experience. Multiple state licensure is a plus, while Spanish-language communication and experience with synchronous or asynchronous patient care match the clinical setting.
Care Across Gut And Metabolic HealthSalvo Health treats chronic gut and metabolic conditions through a digital clinic model. Salvo Health's care includes conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and obesity. The dietitian works with patients who need nutrition counseling connected to long-term disease management rather than a single meal plan.
The clinical model uses a whole-patient care team. Registered dietitians work with nurses, licensed clinical social workers, medical assistants, and gastroenterologists while patients receive care through the app. Salvo Health also uses remote patient monitoring, so nutrition work can connect with information collected between scheduled encounters.
The position combines live video care with asynchronous patient communication. A dietitian conducts evidence-based counseling about nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, and behavior change, then follows the patient's progress through the digital care system. Motivational interviewing helps turn clinical recommendations into specific health goals and repeatable actions.
Daily work includes clinical protocol use, organized documentation, and communication with the wider care team. The position calls for strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and organization because patient questions, care-team messages, and follow-up tasks can arrive through more than one channel.
- Deliver nutrition counseling that follows evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Help patients set health goals and manage chronic disease.
- Use motivational interviewing during behavior-change conversations.
- Coordinate synchronous and asynchronous care with the Care Team.
- Maintain organized communication across app-based care and remote monitoring.
Spanish-speaking communication is part of the hiring profile. The bilingual dietitian works with patients who may need nutrition guidance, behavior-change counseling, and follow-up messages in both English and Spanish. Clear explanations and careful listening remain part of each interaction because the care plan must reflect the patient's symptoms, routines, and health goals.
GI nutrition experience is preferred in areas that include IBS, IBD, and SIBO. Salvo Health also values experience with asynchronous patient communication, where the clinician responds to patient information without a live appointment. That workflow requires concise chart context, a clear next step, and language that patients can use outside the appointment.
