Registered Dietitian – Abilene, TX

OdomRD Dietitian Consultants is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our growing team and provide clinical nutrition services to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities in the Abilene, Texas area
.

This is a full-time hybrid position offering a combination of in-person facility visits and remote work. This opportunity is ideal for an RD who values flexibility, autonomy, clinical variety, and work-life balance

As a Consultant Dietitian, you will:

• Provide clinical nutrition services to residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities
• Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments and individualized nutrition care plans
• Monitor and provide nutrition interventions for residents with weight changes, wounds, renal conditions, tube feeding, and other nutrition-related concerns
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, therapy, dietary, and other facility staff
• Provide nutrition education and support to facility staff
• Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and regulatory compliance activities
• Complete required clinical documentation and follow-up
• Develop and manage your facility schedule with a high level of independence

• Full-time: approximately 32–40 hours per week
• Hybrid: approximately 5–6 in-person facility visits per month

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or RD-eligible with exam pending
• Texas licensure or eligibility for Texas licensure
• Strong foundation in clinical nutrition and medical nutrition therapy
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities
• Comfortable collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
