The Prescriber is responsible for providing psychiatric and behavioral health medication management services to clients in a multi-disciplinary outpatient setting. Day-to-day tasks include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing and adjusting treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, and documenting services in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The Prescriber collaborates with therapists, case managers, and other clinicians to ensure integrated, person-centered care and may participate in case consultations and care coordination with external partners.

This is a contract role. It is a hybrid position based in Lombard, IL, with a mix of on-site visits and some work-from-home flexibility for telehealth and documentation.

• Licensure and credentials to independently prescribe psychotropic medications (e.g., MD/DO in Psychiatry, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or other advanced practice prescriber licensed in Illinois).
• Demonstrated skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning for diverse age groups.
• Experience with outpatient behavioral health settings and collaborative work within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Competence in using electronic health records, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and adhering to regulatory and ethical standards.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and cultural humility skills, with a commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively, balance in-person and telehealth services, and maintain professional boundaries in a hybrid work environment.
• Board certification and experience in community mental health, hospital affiliations, or prior work in the Chicagoland area are preferred but not required.
