We are looking for an Ecosystem Lead – Rare Syndromes (District Manager) who is strategic, collaborative, and patient-focused to join us in our Epilepsy and Rare Syndromes US team, working remotely across the Midwest Region which includes 6 territories:
Minneapolis, Omaha, Iowa City, Chicago North, Chicago South, and Milwaukee.
You will lead a regional commercial field team of six Key Account Managers (KAM) who will focus on improving outcomes for patients with rare syndromes. You will be responsible for driving performance, expanding patient access, and delivering and exceeding regional business objectives. This role combines leadership, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure patients receive the care and therapies they need.
Who you’ll work withYou will work closely with cross-functional partners across the field and home office. This includes representatives, medical science liaisons, market access partners, marketing, patient services, Thought Leader Liaisons, and external stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, advocacy groups, and key opinion leaders.
What you’ll do- Lead and manage regional field team to exceed performance goals
- Develop and execute quarterly regional business plans aligned to strategy
- Build relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders
- Develop, present, and execute a comprehensive quarterly regional business plan aligned to the Rare Syndromes strategic objectives for individual territories
- Drive demand generation while ensuring patient access within budget
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address challenges and align priorities
- Foster a culture of compliance, communication, and ethical decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in biotech or pharmaceutical sales
- 5+ years’ experience leading pharmaceutical field teams
- Ability and willingness to travel 75%
- Proven track record achieving sales targets and leading teams
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
- Experience in rare diseases, system epilepsy, or complex therapeutic areas
- Experience with specialty pharmacy and patient access models
- Demonstrated success supporting product launches
- Experience building relationships with key opinion leaders
- Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $- $ annually. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
