Spanish-Speaking Peer Support Specialist (Remote - New Jersey)

Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour

TEKsystems is partnering with a leading maternal health organization to hire a Spanish-Speaking Peer Support Specialist who is passionate about supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals through virtual coaching and care navigation.

This is a fully remote opportunity for a licensed healthcare professional who thrives in a patient-centered environment and enjoys building meaningful relationships through telehealth.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct onboarding and activation calls with members in Spanish

+ Utilize validated screening tools to assess member needs and identify potential risks

+ Provide virtual coaching focused on:

+ Perinatal mental health

+ Adjustment to parenthood

+ Emotional wellness

+ Stress management

+ Healthy lifestyle behaviors

+ Support members through common pregnancy and postpartum concerns

+ Connect members with appropriate resources and referrals when additional support is needed

+ Follow established escalation protocols for higher-risk situations

+ Document member interactions accurately within electronic health systems

+ Communicate with members via phone, video conferencing, and secure messaging platforms

+ Participate in virtual team meetings, training sessions, and quality reviews

Required Qualifications

+ Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)

+ Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal)

+ Experience supporting pregnant and/or postpartum individuals

+ Previous telehealth, virtual care, digital health, or population health experience

+ Strong communication and relationship-building skills

+ Experience documenting within electronic health records or care management systems

+ Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Trenton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
