Clinical Research Coordinator Associate; Hybrid

The Ashley Lab at Stanford University is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to coordinate the recruitment of athletes for the collection of clinical data and samples and work with our robust clinical team to support clinical research studies.

The Clinical Research Coordinator Associate will be responsible for the overall implementation of an assigned set of research protocols assuring efficiency and regulatory compliance. Work under the direction and supervision of the principal investigator/supervisor. Other responsibilities will include recruiting, screening, assisting in the informed consent process and enrolling subjects in accordance with good clinical practice guidelines as well as collecting, recording and maintaining complete data files using good clinical practice in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

They will participate in data retrieval, reporting, and preparation of files and Case Report Forms for the various studies. Other duties may include processing of blood samples, metabolic testing, reporting serious adverse events and maintenance of, supplies and equipment.

The majority of this work aims to discover the genetic determinants of cardiorespiratory fitness. The ideal candidate will have a background in biology, kinesiology, and/or genetics as well as 1-2 years of clinical trials and human subject guidelines experience. A background in sports is also a plus.

Note the position will be based on the Stanford campus and is a hybrid (working on-site and working from home) subject to operational needs.
