Trainee Clinician

We are currently only accepting applications for bilingual clinicians (English/Spanish). Otherwise, we are not accepting new applications until August 1, 2026.

CCC encourages applications from bilingual (Spanish/English) trainee clinicians. The educational program is open to clinicians training in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. Currently we are not accepting Clinical Social Work trainees or interns.

We provide a broad array of mental health services for diverse members of our community in community clinic and local school K‑12 campuses.

We offer clinical supervision, training, and educational opportunities, as well as administrative and billing support to effectively serve clients and support providers.

Most clinical hours are required to be performed in person in our office; however, there is an opportunity to do some remote work.

We have opportunities for both volunteer and paid positions with an hourly pay range between $17 to $20, depending on experience and program assignment (bilingual stipend available). Bilingual and bicultural clinicians are especially encouraged to apply.

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify mental health treatment needs and make treatment recommendations.
• Provide counseling services to address mild to moderate mental health symptoms and conditions.
• Maintain accurate mental health documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes consistent with CCC standards.
• Provide face‑to‑face direct mental health services and utilize telehealth as appropriate to meet client needs.
• Collaborate with other mental health providers to ensure coordination of care.
• Engage in professional development to provide best practices in the field.

• Enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Psychology.
• Live in the County of San Luis Obispo County or North Santa Barbara County.

Payment: $17–$20 per hour, based on experience and program assignment. Bilingual stipend available.
