Behavioral Health Professional; BHP

Halyard Behavioral Therapy (HaBT) offers a distinct opportunity to leverage contemporary behavior-analytic frameworks to foster autonomy and meaningful independence for Pre-K through 12th-grade students across central and southern coastal Maine. This position will be located in Portland, Maine. Grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, Radical Behaviorism, Constructional Behavior Analysis, Contextual Behaviorism, and Discover, Noticer, Advisor and Values (DNA-V) psychological flexibility, our practice aims to foster a collaborative, human-first culture.

We are actively seeking dedicated professionals interested in supporting individuals with diverse needs or seeking comprehensive clinical training and supervision to join our expanding team.

• Direct Intervention with students:

  • Execute individualized, comprehensive behavior-analytic programs across educational and in-home settings, ensuring delivery of clinical protocols built for the client.

• Data-Driven Practice:

  • Maintain accurate and objective session data collection and analysis to support the monitoring of student progress and support data-guided decisions.

• Collaborative Support:

  • Work directly with public school districts, administrative staff, teachers, families, and service providers to ensure collaborative, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).

• Holistic Programming:

  • Support the implementation of multi-layered initiatives, including crisis/safety intervention design, caregiver/parent training, and peer-to-peer social skills group support.

• Educational Background:

  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Possession of an undergraduate degree or pursuing one preferred.

• Professional Credentials:

  • Hold, or be actively working toward:
    Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification, and Ed Tech III certification. If you don't, training will be provided to pursue these certifications.

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred but not required.

• Operational Readiness:

  • Access to reliable personal transportation, auto insurance and drivers license.

• Regulatory Clearances:

  • Ability to successfully pass comprehensive state-level background checks and fingerprinting (CHRC).

• Monday-Friday Hours

  • School-based (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and/or after school-based hours (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM) depending on the needs of the clients.

  • Typical work week will consist of 30-35 hours based on the demand of clients.

  • Individuals will be expected to work in-person, on-site, for all settings.

  • School-based locations.

  • In-home based support.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive pay range of $25.00 -$35.00 per hour based on experience, education, and other applicable qualifications.
