Medical Director Oncology

We are seeking a Medical Director, Oncology to lead the clinical and medical strategy supporting Care Dx’s expanding oncology portfolio, with a focus on solid tumors, particularly head and neck malignancies, and their intersection with transplant, immune monitoring, and precision diagnostics.

This role will play a critical part in shaping clinical development, driving translational research initiatives, and positioning Care Dx as a leader in precision medicine and biomarker-driven care.

• Lead the design and execution of clinical studies, including investigator-initiated trials, registries, and translational research collaborations.
• Develop evidence-generation strategies supporting CLIA validation, clinical adoption, and reimbursement pathways.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in head & neck oncology and academic centers.
• Represent Care Dx at major oncology conferences and scientific forums.
• Lead development and execution of publication strategies, including abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, commercial, regulatory, and data science teams.

• MD; ideallywithfellowship training in Medicalor Surgical Oncology.
• Subspecialty expertise or strong clinical focus in Head & Neck Oncology.
• Proven experience in clinical trials, publications, and scientific presentations.
• Expertise in precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, or biomarker-driven oncology care.
• Experience in academic or research-driven environments preferred.
• Industry experience in diagnostics, therapeutics, or medical affairs is a plus.

• Strong academic rigor and intellectual curiosity.

• Ability to translate complex science into clinical and business applications.

This is the anticipated base salary range in the United States. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.

Care Dx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
