Position: Medical Publication Writer - Medical Devices - 174547

Piper Companies is seeking a Medical Publication Writer to support a growing client in the medical device industry in the United States. The Medical Publication Writer role is fully remote and will be a part-time contract engagement lasting approximately 3-6 months on an as-needed basis. The Medical Publication Writer role is ideal for an experienced scientific communications professional with a strong background in medical device publications, manuscript development, and scientific dissemination.

Responsibilities

of the Medical Publication Writer include:

Draft, edit, and finalize scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and related publication materials utilizing clinical and scientific data.
Collaborate with physicians, researchers, and internal teams to accurately communicate medical device research findings.
Support publication planning initiatives and ensure deliverables are completed according to journal and conference deadlines.
Address author, reviewer, and stakeholder feedback while managing revisions throughout the publication lifecycle.
Maintain compliance with industry standards, publication ethics, and scientific communication best practices.

Requirements of the Medical Publication Writer include:

Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree, PhD, PharmD, MD, or other advanced scientific degree preferred.
3+ years of medical writing or publication writing experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
Proven experience developing manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and peer-reviewed scientific publications.
CMPP (Certified Medical Publication Professional) certification preferred.
Strong understanding of publication guidelines, scientific writing standards, and the publication submission process.
