Providing specialized speech-language support through teletherapy, this short-hour contract involves working with a student attending an alternative high school in Fruitport, MI. The role requires delivering speech-language pathology (SLP) services aligned with the students Individualized Education Program (IEP) to help meet graduation requirements within the first trimester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct teletherapy speech-language sessions lasting 15 to 40 minutes, 1 to 4 times per month, adhering to the IEP schedule.
- Collaborate on IEP meetings, including a scheduled session on September 30, to update goals and progress.
- Support the student in meeting speech-language goals that contribute toward earning the remaining credits needed for graduation.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with school and district procedures, including contract review and reporting.
- Navigate itinerant responsibilities, including travel considerations and potential mileage reimbursement.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid Michigan license in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
- Preferred experience working with voco speech-language pathology services.
- Familiarity with teletherapy and school-based SLP settings.
- Ability to work flexible, limited hours (approximately 4 hours per week).
- Compliance with credentialing requirements, including background checks.
