We are seeking a Remote Customer Service Representative to support the medical necessity review process by coordinating case documentation, medical records, and client communications to ensure accurate and timely insurance coverage determinations. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in medical claims, insurance verification, health information management (HIM), patient services, or healthcare administration.
Responsibilities
+ Process cases through CMS and client portals while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
+ Review cases for eligibility, completeness, and compliance before medical necessity review.
+ Retrieve, upload, and organize medical records from external systems.
+ Enter and maintain information within multiple databases and tracking systems.
+ Respond to client inquiries related to case status, reports, and documentation requests.
+ Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely case progression and report completion.
+ Verify required documentation is complete before routing cases to clinical reviewers.
+ Maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations and company standards.
+ Assist with quality assurance initiatives, issue resolution, and general administrative support functions.
Qualifications
+ Minimum of 2 years of healthcare administrative experience required.
+ Experience in medical claims, insurance verification, health information management (HIM), medical records, prior authorization, or healthcare customer service strongly preferred.
+ Strong data entry and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
+ Experience working with Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
+ Understanding of healthcare compliance, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements.
+ Previous remote work experience required.
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Central Time

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
