Inpatient Coder; Coding Specialist ; Fully Remote

• This level 3 coding position supports the Enterprise Coding Department by coding inpatient services.
• Requires active AHIMA certification and advanced inpatient coding experience.

Responsibilities:

• Code inpatient records at 95% accuracy and abstract information to assign correct ICD-10 codes.
• Resolve coding denials and queries with coding leads and billing.
• Stay current with federal and state regulations and collaborate with CDI reviewers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of hospital coding experience.
• Active AHIMA credential (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS) and membership.
• Experience with Epic, 3M encoder, and spreadsheet software.
• Monday through Friday schedule, with weekend work for overtime or makeup time.
• This is a remote position within the OHSU system.
